Re: Help... Looking for a 386 or 486 DOS AA palmtop to do all this:

I really do like the Sharp PC-3000/PC-3100. Besides the flaws it is still a nice machine. But let's get to the drawbacks: - The PC-3000 (3100) runs MS-DOS 3.3. So even though it's possible to use PCMCIA Flash cards with a special driver you can only use a maximum of 32 MB. - The parallel/Serial port...

Radio Lighters

I finally started a serious collection of Radio lighters. Good point is that there are not that many different models from what i know. That must have been the pinnacle of miniaturization when the first ones popped up in the 1970s. Too bad there's no more AM stations around here, but with some luck ...

Gaming laptops

Does anyone have a gaming laptop? I was thinking of buying a neat gaming laptop. The ones with Geforce 1080 or 1070 are way too expensive, but maybe i could afford a used one with a geforce 960 or 1060 i thought. Any experience?

Atari Stacy

I always wanted a Stacy. These are so big and heavy. Still i would try to convert it back to using batteries. I heard it would run like 30 minutes on batteries. That's so awesome. XD

Drawbacks of the Vulcan Flipstart

OK, so here's the drawbacks i collected... - Pretty heavy. Despite the small size it is nearly 2 pound, so more than double the weight than some competitors - Fat. While i like the small size the height of the unit is too much for my liking. Even more when you use the extended battery. - The little ...

Does anyone else have one of these cute AA-Battery powered netbooks?

I really love mine. One small upgarde i thought about was switching the screw of the battery department to one you can open with a coin. Does anyone know how these screws are called or where you get them?

New Database

So i finally made a small database that shows the DOS Palmtops in a nice grid. Advantage of a real database is the sorting capabilities. Here's the basic table: http://tankraider.com/database/table.php Thinnest Palmtops: http://tankraider.com/database/thinnest.php Fastest Palmtops: http://tankraider...

Sorry for the late reply - owner here - but we had some issues with the database after upgrading the hosting platform of this website. You may have noticed that there's not much choice regarding a 386/486... 1. Classic is obviously the Tidalwave PS-3000 - but it is rare as hens teeth. So actually un...
